Join us on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, to hear from Cameron S. McKinney, Esq., General Counsel of the West Virginia Human Rights Commission. As many of you know, the WVHRC is the state agency that is responsible for administering and ensuring adherence to the West Virginia Human Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, blindness, or disability. Mr. McKinney will provide an overview of the WVHRC’s role in receiving and investigating administrative complaints alleging discrimination, harassment/hostile work environment, and reprisal/retaliation under the WVHRA. He will also discuss current trends, hot topics, and enforcement priorities of the WVHRC.
